Conference in University of Coimbra

 
IV European Conference on Health Law has been held in Coimbra, Portugal, from October 9th to 11th, 2013. Organizers of the conference were the European Association of Health Law and the Centre for Biomedical Law (Centro de Direito Biomédico).
The theme of the conference was European Health Law and Patient safety.The conference began with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of Law’s Biomedical Law Centre.
The conference have been structured in three main parts: prevention, reaction-compensation, learning with errors, each of one starting from a keynote speech under the responsibility of high ranked scholars from European health law.
Attendants have had the opportunity to choose among over eighty presentations, covering many aspects of Patient Safety in several relevant topics.
The Conference ran smoothly at two different settings: the University of Coimbra (founded back in 1290) and the Vila Galé Hotel (a very new four stars hotel). No organizational problems have been felt and the weather was bright.
