"EU Health Law in Times of Emergency" webinar series
The European Association of Health Law is delighted to announce the launch of the webinar series "EU Health Law in Times of Emergency" (8-29 July 2026), an initiative led by an Italian network of Jean Monnet Actions including the JM Centre of Excellence "New Visions of the European Union's Role in Global Health" and the JM Module "One Health: Global and EU Perspectives", both coordinated by Prof. @Stefania Negri at the University of Salerno, the JM Module "The Protection of Health in Europe: Actors and Legal Instruments" coordinated by Prof. @Giacomo Di Federico at the University of Bologna and the JM Chair "European and International Human Rights Standards in Conflicts and Disasters" coordinated by Prof. @Emanuele Sommario at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa.
In Memoriam: Professor Henriette Roscam Abbing
The European Association of Health Law announces with profound sorrow the passing of Professor Henriette Roscam Abbing.
A founding member and former Chair of the Association, Professor Roscam Abbing provided exceptional vision and leadership. The health law community remains profoundly indebted to her pioneering contributions and enduring guidance.
Her dedicated scholarship and commitment significantly shaped the modern academic and legal discourse in medicine, human rights, and bioethics. To those who had the privilege of working with her, she was a generous mentor, a collaborative leader, and a constant source of intellectual and personal inspiration.
Professor Roscam Abbing’s remarkable intellectual legacy, pioneering spirit, and personal warmth will continue to inspire the health law community for generations to come.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues worldwide.
